Prof. Metin Sezgin has been appointed as a representative for Türkiye in the Global Partnership for AI (GPAI) initiative. The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) is a multi-stakeholder global initiative with 29 international partners, which aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice on AI by supporting cutting-edge research and applied activities on AI-related priorities. The appointment follows a nomination by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Prof. Sezgin will represent Türkiye as an expert in the GPAI Multistakeholder Experts Group (MEG).
